As a Public Authority, the Public Works Department complies with the Freedom of Information Law, 2007.
What We Do
The Public Works Department (PWD) is the Government’s principal advisor on matters relating to public buildings and their facilities. The department provides project management, construction management, construction activities, architectural, quantity surveying and MEP consultancy services for building related projects and also the provision of repair and maintenance services to Government properties as requested by fund-holding Client Agencies.
Projects & Proud
The Cayman Islands Public Works Department is not just responsible for the maintenance of public facilities here in the Cayman Islands. We are also responsible for the planning, development and management of quite a few government projects. In this section we'll seek to highlight some of the projects that we we are particularly proud of.
